Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to Saint George’s College — a place where young men and women are formed to become leaders of conscience, competence, and compassion. Guided by faith, we empower our students not to seek greatness for selfish gain, but to transform society in ways that give glory to God.
Our theme for the 2025-2026 academic year, “Built on Integrity, Bound for Greatness,” speaks to the heart of who we are. In an era where moral clarity is often challenged, we strive to anchor our students in values that matter — helping them become individuals who not only know the difference between right and wrong but choose to live “the right” with conviction and integrity.
As we reflect on the celebration of our 175th anniversary this past year, we give thanks for the generations of students we’ve guided. With hope and dedication, we look forward to another year of nurturing spiritual growth, academic excellence, and principled leadership in every student we serve.
Chairman’s Welcome

Built on Integrity; Bound for Greatness
This is the theme chosen by our school community for the 2025–2026 academic year: a call to uphold integrity in every aspect of our lives. As someone who grew up hearing the wise words, “Say what you mean and mean what you say,” I understand the importance of authenticity. Yet, in our modern world driven by technology and social media, appearances often overshadow substance. We allocate countless resources to craft and maintain a certain image, but at what cost? This obsession with superficial image is eroding the very integrity that defines us. As a Jesuit Catholic Institution, we are called to follow the footsteps of Jesus, embodying honesty, humility, and virtue. Living with integrity may set us apart from the prevailing culture, may even make us unpopular or cause conflict, but it is this authentic living that truly reflects our values and faith.
As we embark on this new academic year, I urge each of us to prioritise integrity—ensuring that our words and actions are aligned. Let us rise above superficiality and commit to living lives of genuine character, models of the Christian principles we cherish. Making Jesus the actual model for our lives, may we all endeavour to live with integrity.
Actg. Vice-Principal’s Message

“Built on Integrity, Bound for Greatness!” captures the spirit of St. George’s College as a
Jesuit-Catholic institution dedicated to forming young men of character, faith, and purpose. Integrity, grounded in our Catholic and Jesuit values, shapes how we learn, lead, and serve. It guides our Knights, inspires our staff, and strengthens the support of our parents and alumni, ensuring that every action reflects both excellence and moral responsibility.
Greatness at St. George’s is measured not only by academic and extracurricular
achievements but also by how we live our values each day. As a community, this year we must strive to embody reverence, compassion, and justice, serving others with humility and courage. Please keep adding to our culture, where integrity serves as the foundation for our actions and faith guides our decisions.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam.

As Old Boys, we are proud to carry forward this rich legacy and to remain connected through our shared commitment to Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam – for the greater glory of God.
The Old Boys’ Association exists to support the continued growth and development of the College, to strengthen lifelong bonds among past students, and to ensure that future generations of Georgians benefit from the same holistic education that shaped us. Through mentorship, service, and sustained initiatives, we seek to give back to the institution that has given us so much.
We invite you to use this website as a resource for staying informed, reconnecting with fellow Georgians, and discovering opportunities to become involved. Whether you are a current student, a proud Old Boy, a parent, or a friend of the College, you are an essential part of the St. George’s family.
Together, let us continue to honour our traditions, celebrate our achievements, and build a future worthy of the St. George’s name.
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam,
PRE-UNIVERSITY
AT STGC
St. George’s College has contributed significantly to the development of Jamaica with outstanding graduates excelling in all aspects on national life; in science, medicine, business and politics.
The Sixth Form programme, which prepares students for university entry, has evolved as well. In Colonial Jamaica, St. George’s College offered courses in the Higher School Certificate which was replaced in 1951 by the Advance Level (A Level). In 1998, the A Level programme was gradually replaced by the Caribbean Advance Proficiency Examinations (CAPE). Over the years, many of our graduates have won the Jamaica and Independence Scholarships based on their performance in these exams.
In 2005, St. George’s College created history when the Sixth Form was opened to qualified female students.
The programme has continued to grow and prepare students successfully for tertiary studies.
