Welcome young Knights, teaching, administrative and ancillary staff to the new academic year.

A special welcome to our incoming Knights, to a journey that promises to be a very fulfilling one over the next couple of years. The new school year returning to full face-to-face interaction for our college community is special and we are elated to have our Knights on campus once again.

The St George’s College Old Boys’ Association remains committed to it’s mandate as stated in our constitution ‘…to provide assistance, financial or otherwise to St George’s College and to contribute to developing the mental, social, physical, spiritual and emotional well-being of the student body.’

Rest assured, the school’s administration will have our continued support as it outlines and prioritizes the needs of our student body. For this academic year, bolstering our mentorship programme and further strengthening the relationship with the student leadership body will be paramount, as we focus on continuity and relevance of the association.

Our Mentorship Program continues to hold pride of place on our agenda as mentorship is viewed as a means of positively changing the life of a young Knight who requires this type of support. We have a wide cadre of Old Boys who are trained as mentors and eagerly awaiting the start of the academic year to work towards building better Men of tomorrow’s society.

Our sporting success and ambitions will once again take focus as ISSA has announced the resumption of all sporting activities across Jamaica’s high schools. This we surely look forward to, as our student athletes will once again have this avenue to access scholarships to further their studies locally or overseas. St George’s College boasts a wide array of sporting disciplines. Sporting events serve not only the needs of the students; they provide a space for old boys to revisit the school and become reengaged, ultimately contributing to the school’s development by giving of their ‘time or treasure’.

Our association is on a path of digitization; modernizing the way our Chapters and Old Boys are able to connect, collaborate and continue to be engaged with the school community. This will provide a centralized and secure space for our alumni community to generate and donate funding to different initiatives. Check us out at www.stgcoba.org . We look forward to supporting our Knights this year as they strive for excellence.
